Second Annual San Diego Winds Composer Festival - SAVE THE DATE!!
Our first school band composer festival took place on May 6, 2010, at Lincoln High School Performing Arts Center and featured the music of David Maslanka who attended the festival. Our next Composer Festival will be held on March 26, 2011. Save the date and stay tuned for more information!

The 2011 San Diego Summer Music Institute, in partnership with San Diego State University Bands, will be held during the week of July 10 through 16, 2011 at SDSU. Click the Music Camp button above for more information and an application packet.

For young musicians developing technique, nothing is more valuable than intense practice under the supervision of master musicians. Developing the needed discipline and desire for productive practice and learning music theory can be fun. We plan to bring one hundred kids to the San Diego Winds Summer Camp, some on scholarship, to experience amazing musical opportunities while bonding with new friends. Summer Music Camp will be more than mastering melody; it will create positive lifelong memories.
