Our Mission
The mission of the San Diego Winds and affiliated projects is to further though performance and education, the artistic, aesthetic and expressive capabilities of the wind band.
San Diego Winds is a professional wind ensemble. Our musicians from the Southern California region dedicate themselves to the advancement of great music for winds and the promotion of the wind ensemble as an artistic medium.
The San Diego Winds Project was founded by passionate music educators who know the transformative power of great music. They have devised innovative educational programs which bring people in direct contact with great music for the purpose of enhancing creativity and self-expression. These programs include:

SAN DIEGO WINDS believes music has the power to transform people's lives.
What began as a conversation between local music teachers in 2008 has grown into a dynamic non-profit organization which has inspired over 30,000 young people and helped them to experience the power of music via a myriad of innovative educational outreach programs and one of the nation's only professional Wind Ensembles.
